For over 40 years MORTEX has been the contractor’s
choice for innovative and superior quality products. MORTEX
was the first to create and pioneer the use of disposable
cantilever decking forms. Years of continued development have
lead to a diverse product line that adds to the contractor’s
possibilities, efficiency, quality, and success. Today, MORTEX
is the brand to trust. When you’re doing your best job,
have the quality of MORTEX products working for you.
Cantilever Decking
MORTEX cantilever forms allow you to pour the concrete deck
right up to the edge of the pool, resulting in a beautiful,
seamless, easy-care ledge and an uninterrupted transition
from pool to patio. These forms are a very simple though ingenious
system. No more bull nose pavers, bricks or joints to deal
with!
MORTEX cantilever forms are 2.4m long bands of Polystyrene,
that are being attached with strong adhesive tape to the tile
band of your pool. For additional security they come with
plastic spears that can be nailed to the bond beam and just
break off when the forms are being removed. The forms are
very flexible and bend easily around curves and corners –
with the use of filament tape they bend up to a 1 ft radius!
Thus adapting to any pool shape you might think of.
A cove strip acts as a water stop and provides a neat transition
from deck to tile, eliminating the need to grout or caulk
the joint in between.
Tim has worked in the U.S. with MORTEX cantilever forms for
over 20 years. The majority of all new pools there have this
kind of decking.
MORTEX offers a variety of applications and styles for cantilever
deck edges, including:
